Job Description
Summary Responsible for the design, development and enhancements of applications and Web sites. Participates in product development, requirements analysis, design and technical management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Contribute to the architecture and design of applications. Develop system and object models to support proposed architecture. 2. Address performance issues in an effort to ensure that all applications are highly scalable and can support high volumes of traffic. 3. Anticipate and resolve technical problems and solve difficult challenges with only occasional need for technical assistance from others. 4. Actively seeks out new technologies and techniques to allow increased efficiencies and to enable us to better support our members and crewmembers. 5. Participates as an active member of programming/development user groups in an effort to keep skills current and learn new techniques. 6. Must be able to architect scaleable database applications capable of adapting to organizational changes. 7. Designs authentication and authorizations systems adhering to sensitive data handling policies. 8. Creates data interfaces to allow disparate systems to communicate with web servers and applications. 9. Writes supporting documentation including test plans, technical specifications, feature descriptions, and in-code commenting. 10. Creates test environments for all development and enhancement projects to ensure stability before deployment. 11. Participates as an active member of programming/development user groups in an effort to keep skills current and learn new techniques. Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications and technologies in area of expertise. 12. Accurately estimates effort and duration of development tasks. 13. This position requires an understanding of the following Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering Regulations and Officer of Foreign Asset Control Requirements to ensure the database is collecting the appropriate data for Currency Transaction Reports, Suspicious Activity Reports, customer identification program , customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence and the various report logs required by the regulations. Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering Regulations, and OFAC requirements and participate in annual BSA training.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: • 3+ years development experience with VB.NET • 3+ years development experience with ASP.NET • Experience with professional toolkits such as Telerik and Dundas • WinForms and ASP.NET controls including custom designers and installation packages • Familiar with WorkflowFoundation and Windows Communication Foundation concepts and technologies • Fundamental understanding of object oriented design and languages • Excellent documentation skills • Senior level experience with client, distributed, and/or web application development • Experience with T-SQL and database design • Database Layers and Components (SQL Server, Oracle) • MSSQL Security, Backup, recovery, DTS, SSIS, Stored Procedures, Functions and Views • MSSQL CLR Integration • Basic Networking (router, firewall, VPN, etc.) • Regular Expressions • Classic ASP / VBScript • JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML • Server / Workstation Virtualization • Web Frameworks and Components • Web Services API Layers and Components • XML, XPATH, XSL • Strong knowledge of common .Net APIs • Visual Studio .Net 2003-05 • IIS5 / IIS6 setup, configuration and troubleshooting • Experience with Source Control
