CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business, the leading provider of tax and business law information and software in the United States, is currently seeking an IT Services Consultant for the CCH TeamMate IT Services Group. CCH was the first publisher to print federal tax publications starting in 1913 and continues to be the most widely used tax research resource by tax professionals in the United States. This position is responsible for providing IT Services and related consulting services for CCH's audit management systems solutions to new prospects and existing customers in the corporate and governmental markets. Responsibilities: Contribute to all phases of the development cycle for all assigned applications. Ability to understand, design, develop and integrate technologies for a single architecture. Coordinate and communicate a solution's status with all other groups. Works on large complex projects requiring coordination across teams. Plan, design, implement and support efficient and cost effective application software solutions. Solve technical problems or recommend alternative solutions to team members and leaders. Prepares and maintains system documentation and follows proper naming conventions. Conduct and Participate in design and code reviews. Develops test plans, perform unit and integrated testing of software. Will conduct technical 'hands on' implementation work and will closely liaison with support and testing departments. Must be able to analyze/translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Ability to effectively communicate with various team members (BA, QA, Developers, Support) from a wide range of audiences. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven and fluid environment. Ability to understand customer needs and manage expectations. Qualifications : Bachelors degree or higher in a technically oriented field such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related experience preferred. Extensive experience required in: .NET 2.0 (C#), ADO.NET, RDBMS (Oracle and SQL Server), WinForms. Must have an in-depth knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures within .NET, SQL, Web Services and XML processing. A strong history of proven success in the design and development of multi-tier software applications with a focus on client and middle tiers. Experience developing database applications and writing SQL queries (SQL Server / Oracle) Solid OO programming skills including experience with OO design principles and design patterns. Familiarity with Data Modeling concepts. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience working with 3rd party UI components and toolkits. Strong problem solving, analytical capabilities and debugging skills. Demonstrated ability to quickly come up to speed and contribute to development in a wide range of technologies. Must be able to adapt to changing requirements, deadlines and technologies with minimal impact. Experience with the following: SQL Sever, Oracle, Visual Studio 2005. Assist the project manager in the creation of project plans by identifying technical tasks necessary. Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications: Experience writing reusable class libraries. Experience with SOA using web services (WCF would be a plus). Experience with ASP.NET / IIS6+. Experience with XLST / JavaScript / CSS. Knowledge of Infragistics UI components. Knowledge of MOSS 2007 and Sharepoint Services. Experience developing with C/C++/MFC. Experience with COM/ATL.
